tarbert to claonaig

Tarbert is a small fishing port with one of Scotland’s outstanding natural harbours. It’s long history dates back to Norse times, and it was visited by Robert the Bruce and James IV of Scotland. There are a small range of food establishments, a supermarket, bank and cash machine, and a local bus service in Tarbert.

Distance: 11 miles. Allow 5–8 hours. Suitable for walking, running and cycling. There is limited accommodation in Claonaig and Skipness and no shops, so please make sure you have provisions with you before leaving Tarbert.
