tarbert to claonaig
Tarbert is a small fishing port with one of Scotland’s outstanding natural harbours. It’s long history dates back to Norse times, and it was visited by Robert the Bruce and James IV of Scotland. There are a small range of food establishments, a supermarket, bank and cash machine, and a local bus service in Tarbert.
Distance: 11 miles. Allow 5–8 hours. Suitable for walking, running and cycling. There is limited accommodation in Skipness and no shop, so please make sure you have provisions with you before leaving Tarbert. We are pleased to say that the village shop in Skipness re-opened in November 2022. Tarbert to Claonaig: Map | Kintyre Map
