Head from North to South or from South to North or mix it up by walking one of the Stages in between?

Traditionally, the Kintyre Way  is considered to start in Tarbert and meander its way down the peninsula and a little but up again to Macrihanish, but it’s entirely your choice . . . and the route is fully waymarked in both directions.

For those who love maps to get their bearings – and who doesn’t? – the Kintyre Way is shown on Ordnance Survey 1:50 000 Landranger sheets 62 (North Kintyre) and 68 (South Kintyre).

For 1:25 000 use OS Explorer 356 and 357.
