Many congratulations to George, our local hero

Kintyre Way veteran George Dunlop has just completed all 100 miles of the Kintyre Way, travelling south to north, in only eight days. George used the regular buses run by West Coast Motors to get him to the start of each of the walk’s sections and back home again each day – proving the effectiveness of reliable public transport to help locals and visitors explore the Kintyre Way in easy and manageable portions. Having decided to move to Kintyre after a short stay in Campbeltown to visit friends, septuagenarian George has a wonderful walking record, having already scaled all of Scotland’s Munros! What an inspiration to all of us . . . well done, George!
